Authorization Review Specialist (remote)

This is a remote position open to any qualified applicant in the United States.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Authorization Review Specialist with 2 to 3 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate should have mandatory technical skills in MS Excel and preferably domain skills in healthcare. This is a work-from-home position with day shifts and no travel requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage and execute daily operational tasks efficiently to ensure smooth workflow.
• Utilize MS Excel to analyze data generate reports and maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects and tasks.
• Provide support in the implementation of process improvements to enhance productivity.
• Monitor and evaluate process performance to identify areas for optimization.
• Assist in the development and documentation of standard operating procedures.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand requirements and provide updates.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations in all tasks.
• Participate in training sessions to stay updated with the latest tools and techniques.
• Support the team in troubleshooting and resolving any process-related issues.
• Contribute to the achievement of team goals and objectives through proactive participation.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information at all times.
• Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED is Required.

Proficiency in computer skills including typing speed and accuracy
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality of medical information
Knowledge of data entry and transcription

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until February 16, 2025.

The hourly rate for this position is between $18.00 - 19.00 per hour, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
