We are an idea-factory, a science lab and a team of pioneers developing technology to shape the future of industry and support the transition to an electrified economy. As a center of excellence for Extreme Electrochemistry, Sadoway Labs is home to both full-time dedicated researchers and the Sadoway Postdoctoral Program which trains the world’s future leading scientists.
Sadoway Labs is looking for an early career chemist, chemical engineer or materials scientist to join its team of pioneers. This person will be helping to conduct experiments in electrochemistry while also supporting general R&D lab operations.
Required Background: B.S. in chemical engineering, chemistry or materials science, <5 years of relevant industrial experience
Relevant skills and experience:
- Chemical handling and processing (laboratory environment)
- Electrochemistry
- High temperature chemistry (>500 o C)
- Cryogenic chemistry
- Energy storage
- Extractive metallurgy
- General laboratory practices
Bonus skills and experience:
- Environmental health and safety (EHS)
- Hazardous materials handling and safe disposal
You will be a member of a small team comprised of both experienced and new researchers and support staff. Interpersonal relationships and team collaboration is critical at Sadoway Labs. As we are working regularly in a laboratory environment we routinely wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and you should be prepared to do so as well.
