Your Role The Digital Experience Design (DXD) group is positioned at the intersection of physical and digital design and is focused on creating immersive, connected, and intelligent experiences for the built environment. As a Senior Creative Technologist, Software in the Production Services studio, you will work across the Production Services team's endeavors, contributing primarily to the production of new digital experiences as well as supporting and maintaining existing experiences. What You Will Do You will collaborate with developers, designers, and strategists from DXD to create creatively-driven, bespoke, permanent digital experiences in the built environment. Your responsibilities include technical research and synthesis, validation of design concepts, software architecture, prototyping, development, and support. Lead research, design, and planning of system architecture. Design, develop, and implement software for ambient experiences and interactive installations. Advise colleagues on budgetary and technical feasibility during concepting and design. Create production plans, budgets, and schedules. Support and maintain software powering existing digital experiences created by DXD. Your Qualifications 6-8 years of experience in creating high-caliber digital experiences. Proficiency in Backend Software: NodeJS, Python. Proficiency in Frontend Software: React, OpenGL/Shaders, openFrameworks. Familiarity with Frontend Software: TouchDesigner, Unity, Unreal. Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills with a practical understanding of systems integration. Experience with Content Management Systems and creating GraphQL and REST APIs. Understanding of modern networks, audio, visual, and computer systems (e.g., Crestron, cabling, OSX/Linux/Windows, Dante, BIOS/OS configuration). Ability to read and update physical and logical system diagrams. Knowledge of physical computing elements such as sensors or custom input devices. Experience with modern software development tools and practices (bash, SSH, PowerShell, GIT, GitHub). Your Qualities You are a passionate self-starter comfortable working independently or in a team. You communicate effectively with colleagues and clients, can convey technical information to non-technical audiences, and are organized, writing clean, well-documented code. You can manage multiple projects and are enthusiastic about mentoring others and contributing to a small, dynamic team.
