Job Description

Hello Potential Applicant! We appreciate your time spent viewing, considering, and hopefully applying for the full-time position of Social Media Customer Success Manager at Storytellit.

About Storytellit

Storytellit is a social media agency that partners with over 50 digital marketing agencies across North America. We work behind the scenes as the social media arm for agencies that either don’t offer social media services or prefer to outsource to a dedicated, expert team.

We’re a small but mighty crew that genuinely cares about our clients, their results, and each other. Everyone on our team plays a meaningful role in shaping the growth and direction of the company. If you’re a creative thinker, a team player, and someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, you might just find your people here at Storytellit.

Role and Responsibilities

This is a fully remote, full-time salaried position with benefits.

As a Customer Success Manager at Storytellit, you’ll play a critical role in building and maintaining long-term relationships with our social media clients. Your focus will be on client satisfaction, campaign success, and acting as a strategic partner to help our clients achieve their goals. You’ll collaborate closely with our internal Creative Services Team to deliver exceptional social media content and advertising results.

While you’ll have core responsibilities, we’re a small, dynamic agency—so we value adaptability and a growth mindset. There’s plenty of opportunity to evolve your role and grow with us.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as the main point of contact for a portfolio of social media clients across industries such as finance, real estate, e-commerce, home services, and more
  • Support a Senior Account Manager while building your own portfolio of clients through excellent service (note: this is not a sales position—clients are assigned by our sales team)
  • Lead monthly client meetings, review performance, and strategize future content and ad campaigns
  • Translate client feedback and ideas into actionable direction for our Creative Services Team
  • Create, manage, and report on small-budget paid social media ad campaigns ($300–$5,000/month)
  • Monitor account health and proactively address issues to reduce client churn
  • Communicate with clients via email, video, and calls, ensuring prompt and professional support
  • Advocate for clients internally and bring their feedback to the right stakeholders to improve outcomes
  • Follow and uphold Storytellit’s internal processes to maintain a consistent and high-quality client experience

Compensation & Benefits

  • You will receive a starting salary of $49,000 per year, with annual compensation reviews and potential bonus opportunities.
  • Health, vision, and dental insurance coverage, including an employer-funded HRA, will be available to you on your start date if you choose to enroll.
  • You are entitled to 15 paid vacation days, along with 5 paid personal (sick) days annually. Additional paid time off may be granted upon request, subject to approval from your direct supervisor.
  • Storytellit also offers a minimum of 10 paid holidays per year.

Perks:

  • Free Fridays: As long as all responsibilities are completed, you’re free to sign off after a brief morning check-in to ensure no new tasks have come in overnight. If a full day off is preferred, it can be taken with prior approval from your direct supervisor. Your workload is structured to support this perk while maintaining team and client needs.
  • Flexibility on standard working hours to accommodate individual preferences upon agreement with your manager.
  • This role is primarily self-managed, giving you the freedom to take ownership of your work, set priorities, and drive results independently while still collaborating with the team as needed.
  • Enjoy the flexibility of a fully remote role in a relaxed work setting.
  • All employees receive a computer and all materials required to be successful in their role.

Timeframe

We are looking to fill this position as soon as possible with a flexible start date for qualified candidates.

Skills/Knowledge

  • Background in social media, marketing-related fields, or customer-facing work is a must
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both 'social media speak' and 'business speak'
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure
  • Proficiency in G Suite - Docs, Drive, Calendar, Sheets, Slides
  • Manage and maintain a steady schedule of communication with a client base
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Resourcefulness
  • Experience with Facebook Advertising recommended, but not required
  • Personal or work experience with Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn
  • Understanding of social media data and analytics and how to convey results to clients

The ideal candidate:

  • Is self-motivated and has the desire to consistently deliver results
  • Cares deeply for their friends, their families, and the world
  • Quickly comes up to speed in new software and systems
  • Passionate about small and local business
  • A great communicator
  • A creative thinker
  • Reading comprehension
  • Detail oriented
  • Organized and efficient with their time
  • Not afraid to ask for assistance when needed
  • A people person
  • Resourceful, able to think outside the box
  • A great cultural fit for our organization

Our Promise to You

We promise to make the application process as smooth as possible and to respond to every candidate with a clear decision. Candidates will need to provide a cover letter and resume. Qualified candidates will need to participate in one 15-minute phone screening, one 30-minute interview via Google Meet with the hiring manager, and one 30-minute Google Meet with a current Senior Media Account Manager. This process allows us to find the most qualified candidate while hopefully helping you to determine if Storytellit is the best choice for you.
