Key Responsibilities:

Department Build-out: Establish and grow the finance and accounting team, creating efficient processes to support continued expansion.
Financial Reporting & Analysis: Lead the preparation and presentation of financial statements, offering valuable insights to support decision-making.
Financial Planning & Forecasting: Develop and implement financial strategies to ensure long-term growth and sustainability.
Revenue Recognition: Oversee and ensure accurate revenue recognition for project-based consulting services.
Project Accounting: Manage accounting functions related to projects, including billing and cost management.
Cash & Banking: Handle all aspects of cash management and banking operations.
Accounts Payable/Receivable & Client Billing: Manage day-to-day financial operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
Leadership & Communication: Provide leadership across the finance team, fostering collaboration, clear communication, and a positive working environment.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required); CPA or MBA (preferred).
10+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or business management.
Previous experience in a start-up or scale-up environment, especially within the professional services industry (consulting, marketing, advertising, legal services).
Strong understanding of revenue recognition for project-based services.
Exceptional financial modeling and analytical skills.
Hands-on experience in accounting and financial management.
Proven leadership capabilities and experience in scaling a department.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Entrepreneurial spirit, able to think creatively and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
