Position Overview: Under the supervision of the Non-Communicable Diseases Senior Manager, the Environmental Senior Data Analyst will support Solar for All initiatives by gathering, analyzing, and managing critical data, ensuring quality assurance across program activities, and monitoring and evaluating progress on environmental goals. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, project management skills, and a commitment to advancing community and environmental outcomes through evidence-based decision-making. Duties & Responsibilities: Develops and maintains environmental data inventories, track carbon reduction progress, and ensure alignment with carbon accounting and reporting best practices. Gathers, analyzes, and validates data from multiple sources, preparing reports, presentations, and data visualizations for decision-making. Leads special projects on environmental, public health, and community issues, delivering actionable insights to stakeholders. Serves as Quality Assurance Manager for the EPA-funded Solar for All program and other environmental public health grants. Collaborates with program partners to develop and manage Quality Management and Assurance Project Plans, ensuring compliance with federal standards and grant requirements. Designs and implements QA processes, trains staff and maintains adherence to quality benchmarks throughout the program life-cycle. Monitors QA metrics, resolves quality issues, and provides recommendations to leadership based on impact assessments. Develops performance tracking tools to enable effective program monitoring, evaluation, and continuous improvement. Conducts data QA on relevant data within the Office of Epidemiology, Surveillance & Emerging Diseases (OESED). Requirements Education: Bachelor's degree in environmental science, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field. Experience: At least four (4) years of experience in data analysis, research, compilation, and reporting work; experience in solar energy is an asset, At least four (4) years of experience using R statistical scripting language. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Demonstrated experience in managing and reporting for federal grant programs. Familiarity with solar energy systems, technologies, and their integration into community-based programs. Proficient in statistical analysis, dataset management, report generation, and knowledge of security procedures for handling, protecting, and distributing confidential data. Proficient in R Studio, with experience in leveraging its capabilities for data analysis, modeling, and visualizations tailored to program reporting needs. Experience in developing Key Performance Indicator (KPI) dashboards and tools to track program metrics and outcomes. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy. Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively, communicate clearly, and build strong relationships across teams. Adept at working independently and within a team to achieve organizational goals. General Information Position Type and Typical Hours of Work: This is a Full-Time | Grant-funded position. Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Hours may vary based on task requirements. Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and printers. Physical Demands: This is a largely sedentary role; however, some duties would require the ability to lift up to 20 pounds and bending and standing for periods at a time.
