Finance Controller Role: We seek an experienced Finance Controller who understands DCAA-compliant accounting practices, project-based accounting, and financial software like UNANET. This role is critical in ensuring financial integrity and supporting the strategic goals of our organization.
Responsibilities: - Ensure compliance with DCAA (Defense Contract Audit Agency) requirements and federal contracting regulations.
- Maintain internal controls and corporate accounting policies and procedures.
- Oversee financial statement preparation and review, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Perform daily tracking of budgets, expenses, and revenue.
- Manage and maintain accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll processes.
- Provide financial support for project-based contracts, including accurate cost allocation and reporting.
- Collaborate with project managers on budget monitoring and contract compliance.
- Generate financial reports for decision-making.
- Leverage UNANET (or similar) software for accounting, timekeeping, and project tracking.
- Train team members on financial systems and troubleshoot software issues.
- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Support leadership with financial analysis, identifying trends and improvement opportunities.
- Coordinate internal and external audits, including DCAA audits.
- Prepare and present financial reports to executive leadership and stakeholders.
Requirements: Requirements: - Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably in government contracting.
- Proven DCAA compliance experience and working knowledge of FAR/DFARS.
- Expertise in financial software such as UNANET (or similar).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of project-based accounting and cost management.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Effective communication of complex financial concepts.
- Exceptional attention to detail; ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficient in utilizing Unanet for budgeting, expense tracking, and financial reporting.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a security clearance if required.
