HOW A FORKLIFT MECHANIC WILL MAKE AN IMPACT •Responsible for the proper repair and maintenance for a large fleet of forklifts and related equipment of various brands (predominately Raymond)
•Repair electric forklift/chargers, electric utility vehicles/chargers, electric pallet jacks, diesel engine drive forklifts, gasoline engine driven tug, and electric man lifts
•Candidate will possess capable mechanic skills to perform independently and without any immediate supervision
•Schedules, prioritizes, inspects and repairs forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, etc., determines within prescribed value range, when a major component, assembly is to be repaired, rebuilt, replaced or discarded
•Required to maintain forklift fleet and training vehicles, and prepares written estimates on cost and labor time for corrective repairs
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED: •Education: High School Diploma/GED
•Required Experience: 5+ years of related experience
•Required Technical Skills: Extensive knowledge of the operating systems used in forklifts and associated hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems
•Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI
•Required Skills and Abilities: Ability to weld simple parts, ability to operate a forklift, power tools, wrenches, diagnostic equipment, and jacks
•Location: Springfield, Virginia
•US Citizenship Required

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $25.13 - $29.90. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
