My client, a recognized landscaping trade partner in the metropolitan Washington/Baltimore area, is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join their well-established organization.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Business Development Manager is responsible for tracking new clients and pursuing new business development leads for future projects. This role will work with the sales team and drive revenue growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales strategy, team leadership, and customer relationship management. You will be responsible for developing and executing sales plans, mentoring team members, and achieving sales targets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepares promotional packages and introduction letters and assists in developing other marketing and proposal material
• Thoroughly understands the Company’s preconstruction and construction process

· Analyze sales data and market trends to identify new opportunities

· Networks regularly with existing and new clients at various associations within the community. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders

• Maintains an ongoing relationship with clients and the preconstruction team
• Actively works with the preconstruction team to develop schedules and budgets for projects
• Interacts and communicates professionally with clients, architects, engineers, consultants, and Company team
• Develops and maintains a client, architect, and engineering database

· Collaborate with marketing and product teams to ensure brand consistency and lead generation

· Prepare regular reports on sales performance, forecasts, and team metrics

• Maintains contact with existing and new architects, engineers, and consultants
• Tracks potential projects in the planning stages
• Attends project meetings with the preconstruction team
• Perform other job duties as assigned

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in business, management, marketing, landscape architecture, construction management, or related field
• Minimum of three years of experience in construction business development
• Excellent understanding of preconstruction and construction operations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Thrives in a networking environment and confident to take on a challenge
• Assertive, self-starter, with a positive take-charge attitude
• Ability to accept rejection and quickly rise to the next opportunity
• Closing mentality from lead to project
• Creative and green light thinker
• Proficient with Microsoft Office software applications and client relationship management software
• Extremely professional and confidential
