About the Organization Rose Cay Maritime (RCM) is a growing company focused on reimagining the Jones Act to lead in the Energy Transition. Founded in 2021, RCM has undertaken one of the most complex projects in the Jones Act, acquiring one of the largest Articulated Tug Barge (ATB) fleets and putting the vessels into service with the world's leading energy companies as a new entrant. RCM now operates a Jones Act fleet of 18 vessels on all three coasts consisting of tugs ranging from 4,000 to 10,000 HP and barges ranging from 55,000 to 260,000 bbls.

Dove Cay, LLC, an affiliate of Rose Cay Maritime, LLC, is a provider of crewing and technical management services to owners of Jones Act vessels that provide maritime shipping services for clean and traditional energy products to a variety of customers across the U.S.

Description Rose Cay Maritime is in search of Mates to add to our growing team. We are looking for Mates with a minimum of 1- 2years experience on tugboats. We currently have openings in the Northeast/Gulf!
Responsibilities: - Serves as Officer in Charge of a Navigation Watch (OICNW) for port watch/or navigation watch and perform deck related duties as assigned by the Master.
- Assures vessel is manned and operated in accordance with USCG vessel manning requirements.
- Makes sure all crew fully implement and operate the vessel in compliance with the classification society approved SMS.
- Ensures maintenance and inspections required by shoreside personnel or vessel Master are completed. Maintain records or maintenance and inspections. Report any instance an inspection or maintenance activity cannot be completed to the vessel Master.
- Ensures that charts, nautical publications, and voyage plans are maintained current and accurate.
- Ensures timely and accurate recording of information in vessel logs, daily reports, and other required inputs during their watch.
- Identifies opportunities for improvement in crew member training, advising the vessel Master and shoreside personnel accordingly.

Position Requirements Prior tugboat/ATB experience is preferred.
Must have full NY Harbor, and Northeast Recency (Only applicable for Northeast fleet).
Must have current, up to date USCG Merchant Mariner Credential with GMDSS, Passport, STCW and TWIC card.
Able to be medically fit for duty upon pre-employment physical, annual physical, and drug screening, as well as participate in a background check.
High School diploma or equivalent.
