Description

The Medical Affairs Operations Manager collaborates with the Company’s senior leadership and other key stakeholders to facilitate and support all external medical education.

The Medical Affairs Operations Manager is a full-time position based in a Kerecis office with periodic travel and reports to the VP of Medical Affairs.

Essential Functions

  • Serve as content support for key opinion leader (KOL) projects to develop slide decks, case studies, abstracts, meeting summaries, and surveys
  • Manage operations associates in to successfully deliver medical education, events, and conference commitments and projects
  • Develop a strategy to target written content to healthcare provider audiences including physicians, physician assistants, and other allied healthcare professionals to present at conferences
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures and external standards
  • Participate in preparation of medical education operating plans and objectives in alignment with company and department strategies
  • Participate in cross-functional discussions supporting internal-facing initiatives within Medical Affairs
  • Attend clinical meetings and medical conferences to provide on-site content support as needed
  • Submit documents to labeling for regulatory review, assist with internal communication, and follow-up deliverables
  • Liaise with the sales team and other managers to facilitate product education and training events
  • Assist with management of budgets and KOL contracts for the Medical Affairs department

Secondary Functions

  • Work collaboratively with Research & Development and Clinical Affairs to provide support for product development and clinical trials
  • Demonstrate leadership in problem solving as needed with the operations team
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

Competencies & Attributes

  • Strong project management skills, delivering results within specified timelines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, collaborating with diverse stakeholders
  • Knowledge of medical device regulations, compliance, and industry guidelines
  • Familiarity with clinical research processes and principles
  • Proficiency in data analysis and scientific writing
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in Life Sciences, Medical Sciences, or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in medical device required, with a portion of that being in a medical/clinical affairs role
  • Some experience in medical writing and editing with ability to leverage experts as needed
  • 2 years of experience in a managerial position

Anticipated travel: 35%
