GENERAL CLEANER - DEEP CLEAN
Associates are paid weekly!

SUMMARY
Perform general cleaning of guest rooms and lobby/common areas in accordance with checklists using RPM, CARE and GCPM processes. Maintain property cleanliness and ensure facilities are in good working condition.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Perform scheduled general cleaning of guest rooms including inspecting/flipping mattresses and box springs, vacuuming behind and underneath furniture, spot cleaning carpets and upholstery, touch-up painting, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, ensuring all hardware and appliances are present in the room and in working order, cleaning, and replacing light fixtures and inspecting grout and caulking.
  • Perform miscellaneous minor repairs including but not limited to tightening loose toilet seats, changing light bulbs.
  • Perform general/deep cleaning of all guest rooms, meeting rooms and/or common spaces in accordance with procedure and brand-standard guidelines.
  • Immediately report all maintenance problems, unusual findings or safety hazards to Management and maintenance technician.
  • Follow company safety and security policies.
  • Follow Hazardous Material Management Program procedures for handling and disposing of chemicals, blood borne pathogens, etc., including using Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
  • Protect company tools, equipment, machines, and other assets in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Attend all mandatory meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this position.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
  • Constantly standing/walking on stairs, tile, and rubber mats covering tiles, linoleum, concrete, padded carpet, marble, gravel, etc.
  • Constant repetitive motions of stooping (bending at the waist), twisting (knees, waist, and neck), crouching (bending at the knees), and reaching /pulling (overhead/extension).
  • Frequent climbing of ladders and steps.
  • Frequently lifting/carrying equipment and supplies weighing average of 5 - 50 lbs without assistance.
  • Occasionally lifting/carrying equipment and supplies weighing up to 100 lbs with assistance.
  • Frequently pushing/pulling of equipment carts, equipment, and supplies up to 100 lbs.
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Working with and exposed to fumes, chemicals, vibrations, humidity, cold, heat, dust, liquid chlorine, etc.
  • Must adhere to the Hotel's cleaning and safety standards procedures.
  • Use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) including appropriate footwear, safety goggles, gloves and using proper lifting techniques.
  • Maintain security of work area and equipment while maintaining the level of safety required and exhibited by the hotel and OSHA requirements.

  • Follow all safety procedures.
  • Follow all appropriate policies and procedures while constantly striving to improve all standards of operation.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of painting and wallpaper skills is encouraged.
  • Must pass criminal background check.
