Job Description We are looking for a
Public Health Program Coordinator to assist the program area team and supervisor with all components of daily operation of food programs. This position will be a
full-time contract and
hybrid. What You’ll Do - Adhere to federal, state, commission, division, and program policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Manage program elements in USDA's Web-based Supply Chain Management system (WBSCM)
- Maintain and manage Microsoft Access databases related to commodity food programs
- Analyze and report on activities of grantees, food outlets, distribution sites, and other stakeholders
- Develop and disseminate policies and procedures for assigned program areas
- Collaborate with the WIC Training and Education team for program training
- Serve as a primary technical consultant and liaison between programs and stakeholders
- Perform field monitoring and manage USDA Foods inventory
- Assist in program modifications and provide detailed timesheets to the Program Manager
- Other duties as assigned
Required What You'll Need - A Bachelor's Degree or higher with related experience in federal grant administration, or a combination of five years of education and experience in regulatory compliance or inventory management
- Knowledge of federally funded food programs and local agriculture
- Ability to work and communicate effectively with diverse groups
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
Preferred - Experience in program development and evaluation
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to travel and work independently
Physical Demands - Frequent sitting or standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 25 pounds
- Occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards
- Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
