Recognized as innovates in the industry, Halliburton’s Research & Development engineers are responsible for designing the thousands of patented tools and technologies applied in field locations each day all over the world.

What You’ll Do…

These positions are located in Houston, TX or Carrollton, TX. Our intern program philosophy is to “recruit once, hire twice” with the hope to hire interns back into full-time or return internship roles.

The internship program assignments are 10-14 weeks in duration and are full-time internships in-person. The summer 2025 internship is expected to begin on May 19, 2025.

Projects you could potentially work on include:

  • Develop a test system for a power system control interface
  • Evaluate and test wireless interface options
  • Migrate existing health monitoring algorithms to other hardware targets
  • Develop a solar charging system
  • Develop cloud computing applications
  • Create product specifications for purchased components
  • Develop a tool to automate data interchanges between different systems
  • Improve existing wiring diagrams and documentation

What You’ll Bring to Our Team

Required Qualifications:

  • Excellent understanding of engineering principles (all subjects of electrical engineering)
  • Reliable transportation to and from work daily is required.
  • Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States both now and in the future; Halliburton will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Self -starters with leadership capabilities, innovative ideas, and the ability to express ideas to team members
  • Pursing a bachelor’s degree or post-graduate degree in Electrical engineering, or similar discipline
  • Prior intern, co-op, or research experience
  • Strong analytical and technical skills
  • Strong communication & presentation skills

What We Offer…

Relocation

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. To qualify, your university and/or permanent address must be more than 50 miles from your work location.

  • Corporate housing provided for the summer to those candidates who qualify.
  • Relocation assistance.

Salary Range: $26 - $36/hour
