Job Description:

USSTRATCOM is a Combatant Command responsible for strategic deterrence, nuclear operations, and enterprise IT services essential to national security. It oversees Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3), Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (JEMSO), Global Strike, and Missile Threat Assessments, working closely with other Combatant Commands, Services, and defense agencies. SCITLS will be a key component that will ensure mission success and the safety of the U.S. and its allies by providing 24/7 IT services and network support for NIPRNet, SIPRNet, JWICS, and SAP/SAR environments.

Quantum Consultation and Research/Quantum Lead:

• Assess and leverage quantum computing technologies to enable integrating advanced encryption technologies to the larger mission of delivering real-time and near-real-time global military deterrence operations, including critical nuclear command and control systems.
• Investigate the use of quantum computing and Quantum Resistant Algorithms (QRA) to mitigate asymmetric risks.
• Provide an analysis of how sophisticated cyber attackers may utilize quantum computing to compromise USSTRATCOM systems.
• Integrate quantum computing and QRA.
• Deter sophisticated attackers using quantum computing.
• Make recommendations based on current quantum computing capabilities that bolster the capabilities of USSTRATCOM and its mission partners.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

• Education and Experience: Requires a PhD in a relevant Scientific discipline and 20+ years of experience
• Required Certifications: CASP+ or CCNP Security or CISA or CISSP or CISSP-ISSAP or CISSP-ISSEP; ITIL 4 Foundation ITSM certification or ability to obtain within 9 months of hire
• Desired Certifications: ITIL 4 Foundation: Certified Analytics Professional (CAP); or Data Science Council of America Senior Data Scientist (SDS); or Microsoft Certified Azure Data Scientist Associate; or Google Professional Data Engineer; or IBM Data Science Professional; or AWS Certified Machine Learning Specialty; or Google Professional Machine Learning Engineer; or AWS Certified Data Analytics Specialty; or Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert; or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Data Science Certified Specialist
• Security Clearance: minimum Top Secret. M ust be willing to Obtain Top Secret with SCI eligibility. TS/SCI preferred
• Location: Onsite - Offutt AFB, Omaha, NE

The likely salary range for this position is $191,412 - $258,970. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
