Description
Leidos is seeking a Scrum Master to join our team in developing unmanned and autonomous ships for the US Government. The successful candidate will focus on connecting with the team, and co-operating to help the team focus on making achievable commitments and meeting them together. The program uses the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) to plan and execute work across several scrum teams.
As a Scrum Master, they will be responsible for coaching their team, helping the team follow the Scrum process, acting as the single point of contact for their team with management and the other Scrum teams on the project, in addition to helping the team refine the backlog continuously. This Scrum Master will be an integral part of our team, collaborating to work with us to make our unmanned vessels smarter. Their team of engineers will demonstrate their work regularly for customers and management, gaining exposure and constant feedback. This position does not require writing software, but exposure to technical concepts helps in building a common understanding of an approach and communicating with stakeholders.
The work done on this project will be demonstrated in the real world. Some periodic travel may be required within the continental US as part of attending meetings and assisting with testing our unmanned vessels. Our team develops and deploys advanced technology solutions that address existing and emerging maritime missions of national importance for a broad range of customers across the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, other governmental agencies and commercial clients. Current and future projects span advanced concept and prototype development, low-rate initial production and full-rate production.
