Job Description
We are currently looking for a Spanish Translator/Transcriber who can be qualified to pass the USCIS background / clearance process to support our USCIS contract.
The transcriber candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience in converting Spanish audio recordings into written English transcriptions and a minimum of two years of experience in transcribing civil and criminal investigative interviews.
USCIS will provide the audio/video recordings for transcription to the contractor in the form of digital recordings/files (e.g. MP3, wave, etc.) via the USCIS Shared Network Drive, which the candidate will access on the Government Furnished Equipment (GFE).
The government shall provide GFE necessary to remotely access the USCIS GSS Network. This equipment shall be limited to laptops with standard USCIS image software, PIV cards, and USCIS Network accounts. The equipment will be used to securely receive, process, and transcribe data as required by this contract.
The GFE property may not be used for any tasks outside the terms and conditions of this contract/ order. No personal or company owned storage devices, (thumb drives, DVDs, or CDs) are to be used with the GFP.
Sensitive But Unclassified (SBU) Information, data, and/or equipment will only be disclosed to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis. The candidate will ensure that appropriate administrative, technical, and physical safeguards are established to ensure the security and confidentiality of this information, data, and/or equipment is properly protected. When no longer required, this information, data, and/or equipment will be returned to government control, destroyed, or held until otherwise directed.
