Unit\nCentral Sterile Processing Magic Valley Hospital Flr 2\nUnit Type\nOR (Operating Room) 5 years' experience required recent \n\nUnit Notes\n- Unit: Central Sterile Processing - Floor 2\n- Required Certifications: CRCST/CBSPD\n- Common Cases: General, Gyn, Davinci, Cysto, ENT, Ortho/Totals, Vascular, Spine, Lap (Endo is separate).\n- Department covered: Sterile Processing\n- Experience or 'Must have' skills: Experience with Davinci – Cleaning. Minimum 1 Year (preferably 4+). Travel experience (ideal).\n- Duties: Assembling instrument trays (travelers utilized more here than decon or sterilizers), but they can be in Decontam, running\nsteralizers, travelers do not run the phone for the Core OR (unless have been there awhile/ extended). Expect staff to assemble 2 trays/\nhour (they are not complex trays).\n- Common equipment to disinfect/common supplies to sterilize: Prevac - Steam. Sterrad – NX and 100NX. Resert - HLD.\n- Manager/Lead Tech: Caitlyn Stallard – Manager- evening shift. Chase Elms - Supervisor- days. Someone always in house as a resource.\n- Shifts & Scheduling: Days: 8a-430p or Swing 2p-1030p, occasional nights- varies starts 7-330, manager to make schedule\n6-8 staff on at a time depending on the shift, some over lap.\n- Weeknight/Call Requirements: rare, to meet department needs.\n- Weekend/Call Requirements: rare, to meet department needs.\n- Holiday/Call Requirements: rare, to meet department needs.\n- Orientation : 1 week orientation with preceptor and additional training after that.\n- Scrub Color/Dress Code: Scrubs provided by hospital/laundered there. Travelers to bring Shoes and lock for locker, and can bring\ntheir own scrub caps but they will be laundered by the hospital. Bring mesh bag to keep hats together. Or if want to wash at home,\ncan wear a disposable bouffant cap over scrub hat.
