Job Description

Summary:

We are hiring for an experienced Chief Quality Assurance Inspector to lead inspection processes for mechanical parts in the defense/military and automotive industries. This role ensures compliance with AS9102 standards, MIL-specifications, and industry regulations while overseeing quality control procedures and first article inspections.

Key Responsibilities:

* Perform hands-on inspections using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, thread gauges, square gauges, and ring gauges.
* Conduct first article inspections (FAIs) and complete AS9102 paperwork, including balloon drawings and inspection reports.
* Interpret blueprints, technical documents, MIL-standards, and industry specifications to verify product compliance.
* Oversee incoming and outgoing material inspections, ensuring adherence to engineering prints, certificates of conformance, and testing documentation.
* Identify and document nonconformances, initiate corrective actions, and collaborate with the Quality Control Manager.
* Act as a Designated Supplier Quality Representative (DSQR) and present First Article Inspections to Customer QAR.
* Maintain traceability of components by linking documentation based on lot numbers, heat numbers, and purchase orders.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

* 8+ years of experience as a Quality Inspector in defense/military or automotive manufacturing.
* Strong hands-on measuring experience with a variety of precision tools.
* CNC machining background.
* Proficiency in AS9102 documentation, first article inspections, and industry quality standards.
* Experience working with MIL-standards and industry regulations.
